Obituary For Mildred F. Hunt

Hunt, Mildred (Harris); 84 Of South Dennis, Ma, formerly of Rockland, MA- Died 10/21/2015 in her sleep, after a short illness. "Millie" was the youngest child of Fredrick and Nettie (Lindscott) Harris. Mildred was a teacher's assistant for many years. She also did volunteer work with veterans at the VA Hospital. She was predeceased by both parents; her sister Marion MacKenzie; brother Reginald Harris; and former husband Robert Hunt. Millie is survived by seven children:

Sheryl (Lee) Whiting, Dean Hunt, Cynthia (Michael) Walsh, Douglas (JoAnne) Hunt, David (Susan) Hunt, Paul Hunt, Don (Alice Faye) Hunt; 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; and Tiger her cat.

The wake will be at Magoun and Biggins Funeral Home on Sunday: 10/25/2015 From the hours of 2:00-4:00pm. Funeral mass will be on Monday, 10/26/15, at 9:00am at Holy Family Church in Rockland.

Burial will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local food pantry.

    Many fun memories with Aunt Millie...cookouts and family get togethers. It's been many years since visiting as I live in Florida, but always a special place in my heart for Aunt Millie...Kind, Forgiving, Compassionate and fun. RIP Auntie ♡ Never forgotten...

    I was saddened to hear of Millie's passing. Millie was my assistant for several years at The North River Collaborative. I will always remember how much she enjoyed the preschool children! To Millie's family, please accept my sincere condolences.
