Obituary For Michael Remick Salverio
Michael Remick Salverio - Mike "Sal" - April 29, 1986 - October 25, 2024.
Michael Salverio, 38, Crossed over to the "Netherworld or Afterlife" with Beetlejuice as his guide on October 25th, 2024. He departed from his family home with his wife and two children by his side.
Mike lived life to the fullest, even after being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in December 2022. A big fan of the UFC and MMA, Michael quickly got to work "training" to take Leukemia on in the ring. He liked to use his two signature moves: that he referred to as "The People’s Elbow" and "Steam Roller”. Mike enjoyed practicing his moves on his children. We thought he was going to win the two year match, he got in some good punches, but in the end Leukemia won. He put up an extremely good fight.
Michael amazed his doctors with his will to live and how he never gave up. Mike's oncology team felt more like family and friends than providers. Everyone that met Michael at Dana Farber (Boston) and The Brigham loved him and his sweet, easy going demeanor. He especially loved chatting with all the pretty nurses.
Michael was born in Quincy, MA, the only child of Mark Salverio and Carol Remick-Salverio. He grew up in Hanover, MA, graduating from Hanover High School in 2004. Michael spent a great deal of his childhood with his Aunt Susan Coleman (deceased) and her children, Jack and Julie (deceased), who were more like his siblings. Mike enjoyed playing the guitar, skateboarding, gaming; he was a big fan of League of Legends, and going on adventures with his wife and kids.
Michael leaves behind his wife, Tina Marie Salverio and their two children, Payson and Kayleigh; his cat, Chloe and his dog Poppy. Poppy and Mike were inseparable.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd from 2 to 5 pm at Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home in Rockland. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up at Rockland Trust. Donations can be made to Mike’s children, Payson and Kayleigh at the Rockland Trust Company, “Salverio Family Benefit” account. Blood and platelet donations saved Michael’s life, please donate blood and or platelets in Mike’s memory.

Dear Michael, You left us all too soon and you will be missed dearly by all of us. I will miss everything we did together. Going camping in Vermont with all the fun, amazing and crazy stuff we all did while there. Just going out for an ice-cream was interesting at times 😉 Taking you fishing at Luddam's Ford Park, to catch your very 1st fish. I never got my line in the water because you kept me busy taking fish off your hook and you wanting to keep every one of them. I let you keep one and put it in your pool. I will miss you so much from the bottom of my heart and I am so sorry we didn't get to spend more time together. Been listening to a song over and over that will forever make me think of you, smile for you and cry for you. Wish You Were Here, Love Always Uncle Paul https://youtu.be/fiKkO54Nzq0?si=_OxNbssL1kd_l5Cv PS: See you on the other side

Mike you have been taken far too soon! To me you will always be that soul smiling kid, who thought I was cool. I'm sure your aunt Jeannie, Susan and all welcomed you to heaven. May you fly high onto your next journey and know how very missed you will be. Please send "messages" to your family. May God bless your wife, children and your mom and dad. Wishes of peace for all🙏 Life is not fair sometimes, and takes the best first. May your love and light continue to shine bright. You will be terribly missed. We will say goodbye to you tomorrow but will see you again on the flip side. Love Pam and family 🌹

"Cherished moments with our son Michael" Dear Michael, The moment you were born we knew you were the greatest gift from God to bless our lives! Our beautiful baby boy so loved by all our family members throughout your life and beyond. Right from the beginning you were always moving, busy riding everything from your baby walker with wheels by 4 months, driving the cozy coupe car at I yr old and your first bike at I8 months for Christmas, we woke up to you riding all around the house at 2 am while we slept! Our sweet child loved to keep moving which made him happy playing with any type of ball from a very early age, basketball, baseball and soccer all year long from age 5 into high school. We had so much fun with him and all the sports activities with his friends and families, we were super fans plus his dad coached baseball for many years. We loved all his friends growing up, the pool parties, sleep overs and his dads delicious chicken tender feasts. The many family vacations we enjoyed with Aunt Susan (2nd mom) Uncle Johnny, Jack and Julie (siblings) just like one big family! The picturesque Vermont camping trips with Mom, Uncle Paul, Aunt Lynn and also Matt D. a few times. Mike and Mom's many February DisneyWorld trips like two kids having a blast every time at the rides, water parks and beautiful resorts what memories! Many fun filled happy family gatherings with Aunts, Uncles, cousins and family friends with lots of laughs and so much love! The wonderful music that filled our home for several years with Mike and Josh making music! We are so grateful for all the joy, love and happiness Michael brought to our lives each day. We made it through some tough times thank god. Unfortunately there came more when Mike was diagnosed with AML Leukemia 22 months ago, He fought so hard but lost the battle with this terrible cancer. Our beautiful cherished son Michael gone too soon, may he rest in peace with God our father in heaven until we are reunited again some day. Michael you are forever loved! Mom and Dad

This does not feel real at all. Michael, I appreciate your friendship more than I may have shown. I thought of you often. It was completely odd how we all ended up becoming friends but in the back of my mind I always knew you and Tina would be there for us if needed. And I appreciated that. I really thought you were going to beat this shit. It wasn't supposed to end like this. But I know you are looking down on all of us and making sure we are all alright. I hope you rest peacefully.
