Obituary For Michael J. Kearns

Michael J. Kearns of Rockland MA, 51 years old, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 16, 2019. Michael was born September 16, 1968 in Boston, MA. Michael was an avid skydiver, on the ski team and enjoyed playing football. He graduated from Milton High School in 1987. Michael worked as a field service engineer for SemiLab USA and traveled the world. There's a reason why Mike was dubbed "The Godfather" as he always went above and beyond for his god children. Michael's life was nothing short of an adventure, filled with love and laughter, which he shared with his countless family and friends. Between skydiving and walking the Great Wall of China, he never ran out of memories to share with his loved ones when he returned from his trips. When Mike least expected it, he met the love of his life Sue & they continued to make unforgettable memories together in their new home with Ryan, Kaitlyn and their baby Andrew. Always the one to light up the room, Mike was quick with his jokes and stories that kept those around him entertained. Michael will be missed terribly by his family, friends and anyone else who was lucky enough to meet him whether it was here, or somewhere around the world. In Michael's memory, donations can be made in c/o Andrew Kearns Benefit Account at Rockland Trust at 288 Union Street in Rockland, MA 02370 or any branch location.

Michael is survived by his loving Wife, Susan Kearns (Crawford) of Rockland. Devoted father of Andrew Kearns, Ryan McCosker & Kaitlyn McCosker; Cherished son of, John "Jack" and Nancy (Peterson) Kearns and the late bm Eileen Patricia Kearns; Brother of, Jack and his wife Colleen Kearns of Easton, Steven and his wife Bridget Kearns of Quincy, Eileen and her husband Steve Friedland of Marshfield and Brenda and her husband Chris Green of Plymouth. To the family of Michael Kearns, I am so sorry for your loss. No words seem appropriate. One Christmas not long ago, Michael won an item that I wanted to win at the Yankee Swap. The next year at Christmas, he handed me a wrapped gift. Inside, was the very item I had wanted from the previous Christmas. He said he was down sizing. So thoughtful. Sincerely, Cathy Yahiaoui
