Obituary For Michael D. Johansen

Michael David Johansen - "Mikey Jo", Forever 27 of Rockland collected his wings on July 28, 2021 and went on to begin his new journey as guardian angel.

Born April 2, 1994 Mikey was a lifelong resident of Rockland. A sprinkler fitter by trade, he was adored and cherished by his family and was a fiercely loyal friend with a heart of gold.

Michael shared his life with his beloved mother Karyn (Arthur-Celestino) of Rockland, and was lucky to have two loving fathers, Peter Celestino of Rockland, and Kevin Johansen of Weymouth. Dedicated brother to his siblings Mia and PJ Celestino of Rockland and Sean Farrington of Mansfield. Precious grandson to Judith McNulty and the late David Arthur of Weymouth, Christine Johansen-Johnson and the late Paul Johansen of Rockland, Dennis Celestino of Braintree, the late Mary (Weir) Johansen of Whitman. He was also blessed to be a part of a large, amazing group of people who encouraged, loved and supported him unconditionally - including numerous aunts (his aunties), uncles, cousins, and friends.

Mikey will be remembered for his many passions - his family, animals, music, his vehicles, sports - football, hockey, skateboarding and golfing. Once he embraced something he was all in. He was willing, able, and ready to help on a moments notice or in a time of need. He was an unbelievable young man filled with a goodness that was immeasurable. He will be greatly missed and always loved.

Michael’s family would like to invite friends and loved ones to celebrate his life in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home on Thursday August 5, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Holy Family Church on Friday August 6, 2021 at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.

This is so incredibly sad. Such a great kid that still had so much living to do. I'll always remember how entertaining he was at hockey games and tournaments. Nothing but good things to say about him. Mikey Jo was taken way to soon, May he rest peacefully and he will truly be missed. ❤️🙏😇
