Obituary For Matthew D. Shea

Matthew D. Shea, 30 of Rockland lost his battle to addiction on October 23, 2015. He was born in Quincy, son of Dennis M. And Lee Ann (Gillis) Shea both of Rockland. He was raised and educated in Rockland graduating from Rockland High School in 2004. He had been a member of Local #17 of the Sheet Metal Workers Union and had most recently been employed at Expert Movers in Norwell. Matt was an avid sports fan and loved rooting for all the Boston teams. He loved fishing, was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Jillian L. Shea of Rockland and his brother, Scott M. Shea of CT. Loving uncle to Anthony. Survived by his grandmothers, Patricia Shea of Hingham and Marguerite Dennett of Braintree. Also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life on Thursday October 29, 2015 from 5-8 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Friday October 30, 2015, 2015 in the Holy Family Church. In lieu of flowers, Donations in his memory may be made to, Rockland Cares, 48 Pine Haven Circle Rockland, MA 02370.
