Dearest Rachael, You know that words cannot express the sorry I feel on the death of your beloved Mother. I can close my eyes & picture the two of us at Grandma & Grandpa Mick's farm for summer vacation - two very quiet cousins who both loved to read, sharing books, swinging on the porch, sitting in the apple orchard or by Grandma's flower bed, hunting for eggs, fighting with the rooster, hauling water from the well, setting off fireworks on July 4th, riding Pony John & enjoying the biggest thrill of all - going to the outhouse armed with insect spray for the wasps, the Sunday funnies & parts of the Sears & Roebuck catalog. Sometimes Nancy came with her from Rockland, which made the time even more wonderful. And later our vacations at Dennis and to Ireland were simply grand. My love & sympathy are with you in your loss. You were very blessed that your mom was also your best friend. All my love, Cousin Jeanne Marie
