Obituary For Mary "Mimi" Keegan

Mary "Mimi" Coleman Keegan

Rockland – Mary Keegan died unexpectedly December 3, 2020 after a short term illness while at CuraHeath Rehab Facility in Stoughton, MA.

Mary was born in Roxbury, MA on July 22, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Mary Kitterick Coleman and John Coleman.

Mary attended St. Patrick's Parochial School in Roxbury, Massachusetts and was in the graduating class of 1952.

Mary enjoyed time with her family and her Catholic Faith. Mary was a Eucharistic Minister at the Holy Family Church in Rockland. She found her strength with God.

For over 20 years, she worked as a cashier at the Rockland (and eventual Abington) Stop & Shop. Her kind and nurturing nature led to her being very popular with customers, many of whom sought out her register to complete their shopping and share stories.

In addition to Mary's parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Michael J. Keegan Jr., her granddaughter Heather Wiley, her sister Carole Coleman Anderson, and her brother Thomas Kitterick.

Mary leaves behind 3 children; Judy Keegan Wiley and her partner Dennis Lemieux of Rockland, her son Michael J. Keegan III of Rockland, and her daughter Mary Keegan Walsh and her husband Paul Walsh of Abington. Along with her children she leaves behind her grandchildren the late Heather Wiley, Frank Wiley and his fiancé Megan Hickey of Kingston, Thomas Wiley and his wife Jennifer Wiley of Kingston, Delia Keegan of Rockland, Danielle Lemieux of Middleboro, Alyssa Stanton of Rockland, and Ronnie Stanton of Abington. And let us not forget her pride and joys, her great grandchildren; Sean, Kaylyn, Genevieve, Mackenzie, Brayden, Colleen, Thomas, and Savannah.

Judy, Michael, Mary and extended family.. this family has lost jewel. Mimi was always one of my favorites. She had a beautiful smile and seldom a bad word to say. Her family always came first and it was no secret that she loved each and every member to the fullest. A great wife, friend and support to her handsome husband Mickey and their love was unconditional. I will miss you in the years to come but find peace in the fact that you are in the hands of God. Love and hugs to all. Sleep in heavenly Peace Mimi.
