Mary T. (Cawley) McGillivray, 89 of Hanover died on June 25, 2016 at the Wingate at Silver Lake Nursing Facility in Kingston, MA. Mary was born in Boston, MA on February 24, 1927 to the late John and Abby (Sullivan) Cawley. She was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School.

Mary was a devoted and caring homemaker to her family and those who knew her. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph McGillivray. Mary is survived by her children Thomas McGillivray and his Wife Regina of Florida and Susan M. Hurley and her Husband John of Brockton. She was the sister of James and Elizabeth Cawley of Florida and the late John J. Cawley. Mary leaves behind her grandchildren Jeffrey, the late Rachel, Michael J. Hurley and the late Alexander J. Hurley. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

The family welcomes friends and relatives to celebrate her life on Wednesday June 29, 2016 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Church in Rockland. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
