Mary M. Sayian of Rockland died on December 13, 2017 at the age of 100. Devoted sister of the late Kirk Sayian of Rockland, the late Vaughn Sayian of Rockville, MD, and the late Edward Sayian of Rockland.

Cherished aunt to Stephen (Gwen) Sayian of Hingham, Arthur (Maureen) Sayian of Whitman, Carol (Bryan) Talanian of Norwell, and David Sayian of Chevy Chase, MD Devoted great aunt to Michael Sayian, Jennifer Anderson, Grant Sayian, Rachel Talanian, David Talanian, Adrienne Sayian, and Ani Talanian.

Great-great aunt to Colin Anderson, Evan Anderson and Ryan Anderson. Born May 20, 1917 to immigrant parents Stephen and Satenig (Kalajian) Sayian, Mary was a lifelong resident of Rockland, graduating Rockland High School in 1934 and thereafter travelled to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii to work for the US Navy Civil Engineering Core. The highlight of those years was a concertgoer to Elvis Presley's famous "Aloha from Hawaii" Concert!

After retirement, Mary travelled extensively with family and friends throughout Europe. She always enjoyed a good golf game as well as the camaraderie of lunch or dinner with family and friends. Mary always had a kind word to say about anybody she knew. Affectionately known as "Mimi", "Mame", and "Grandma", Mary's devotion to her family was unparalleled as she was truly unique, genuine and gracious to all.

Mary's family welcomes relatives and friends to celebrate her life on Saturday December 16, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in Spring Lake Cemetery in Rockland.
