Any one that knew Mary loved her. She was an amazing lady. Intelligent, warm, religious, charming, upbeat and very gracious. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She made the best of every day and wouldn't see it any otherway. She always looked at the bright side of things and frowned on negativity. She was an inspiritation to all. She had a wonderful family, friends, career, and life Mary loved being surrounded by family and friends. She was an inspiritation to anyone who knew her. We are all so fortunate to have wondeful memories of Mary and the times we spent with her. She will remain in our hearts forever, and will influence our decision making for many years to come. Mary, your friendship was truely a gift from God. I'm so grateful our pathes crossed.

Hey Mom, Well the hustle and bustle is over now and the grieving process is starting to set in. I can already tell that it is not going to be easy for us. To say that your sendoff was unbelievable would actually be an understatement. We have spoken to so many people in the past few days whose lives you have touched. Honestly I don't think any of us were aware of half of your accomplishments. But as I think about it, that was the type of person you were. There is a saying that goes "your success in life is measured by the number of people at your wake". If this indeed is a truism than there was nobody more successful in life than you. If I can be half the person that you were than I will have lived a great life. It is going to be a rough road for all of us without you here but we will get through it by using the best gift you ever could have given us, each other. Remembering you and the way you handled things will make each one of us a better person day in and day out. The kids are starting to ask more and more questions about your passing now. Please help me get through that process. It is not easy. Over the past couple of days I have found myself getting through the tough moments by looking into the kids eyes and knowing that there is a huge part of you in each one of them. They are going to miss Nana Murph more than they can imagine now. Please keep an eye on Dad and help him get through the very tough roads that he has in front of him. To lose him now would just make things that much more unbearable. Thank you for raising me the way you did and thank you for being there every single time I needed you, good or bad. You were quite a person and I will miss you very, very much. Enjoy the peace that you so truly deserve and enjoy the reunion with all those that passed before you. Chip, Chip Mom. I Love You! Stephen James

To all the Murphy kids, I am very sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. She was always nice and friendly to me growing up. Take one day at a time. Right now, you may think it will never get better, but it does. You will be able to remember your Mom, talk about her, laugh over the funny things she said and did without getting upset that she is no longer with you. You will carry her in your heart and remeber her always.

  • 05/25/2021

Days have gone by and thanks to everyone who has been so very wonderful to us we are all carrying on. On behalf of all of us, I just want to tell you that from the bottom of our hearts we could never, ever express our sincere appreciation. Whether you attended the wake or funeral, sent a card, a kind word or kept us in your prayers - we will never forget you. Mom was very big on gatherings and her final was beyond what we could have every hoped for her, she would have loved it. I just want to go into an extra thank you...to Bob Biggins and his amazing crew. While we had alot planned out beforehand, the night Mom passed I panicked. Bob had told me he would be away that weekend, he never told me he would be in Idaho speaking at a seminar. Instead of calling the funeral home first, I called him. He didn't get the call 'till after the seminar and called me at 11:30 that night. From that time until he got home we were in constant contact. He was down in Idaho with a bunch of potatoes finalizing the plans for a bunch of Irish potatoes back home. From the second Bill Moore, from his staff met us at the nursing home until the end everyone from Biggins was unbelievable. I don't want to go on and on, but I can because I am the oldest child (LOL) - but all kidding aside - without Bob and his crew I don't know how we could have handled it. Our heartfelt love and thanks to everyone!

Mom It was sad to not have you here for your 75th birthday, but we all did okay. We know you are happy with Nany, Aunt Nancy and everyone that you love so much and we have to take solice in that. We know that we have to let go and live....and we are really trying. The kids were so thrilled with their Disney Trip you left them - but they all wished that they could have you back instead. We all know it is going to take time - and we are doing what you said - taking it One Day At A Time! That phrase never meant as much as it does today. Happy Birthday Mom - Love you Forever!

  • 05/25/2021

Hi Mom: Some seem to have stopped writing - but none stopped loving. I am still getting cards and well wishes, as are the rest of us. The kids talk about you all the time and they cling to the pictures and memories that they have. They'd write you every day but they haven't figure out how to do it (see there is a God)! LOL! A month went by yesterday but it wasn't any easier than the first or second day. Well all know you are happy, not suffering, and probably having the time of your life with your family and friends. We understand all of that we are happy for you - we would not want it any other way. Watch over us, protect each and everyone us, and always smile - because that is what we are trying to do for you. Peace and Love Mom!

  • 05/25/2021

Nan, I wish more than anything that you could have been there for my birthday. I think it was so hard because it was the first family party without you and without you there it just didnt feel right. There are no words that can express how much i miss you. Even the little thing like bringing in your mail and how when i went to your house for dinner i dont think i ever had to cut my own food. But thats just the kind of person you are, you would do anything for anyone. I miss getting comfy in your bed with you and watching ice skating and weel of fortune. You always knew what to say to make me feel better and I NEVER left your housee hungry. Well im just rambling on now. But i love you with all my heart amd I truely believe you are the picture perfect grandmother.

  • 05/25/2021

  • 05/25/2021

Dear Mom: It is hard to believe that you have been gone for six months today. Not a day goes by that we don't think about you and miss you. Everyone is doing okay - we do it "one day at a time" - as you always taught us. (But it doesn't make it all that much easier.) The kids are all doing great - Shannon is beautiful - the new little Princess. As you can see Alexa is growing up quick, as they all are. There were some tears shed at Uncle Kevin's party for you but the kids celebrated both you and Dad by sending all of the balloons up to heaven for you. You would be proud of all of us - we think of you and Dad everyday and try to live our lives as you taught us. Give our love to everyone who we love tgat company you now enjoy - especially Nana - and must of all enjoy the happiness you so very much deserve. Peace and Love, Patricia Ann

Dear Mom: Everyone is doing okay, you made some pretty strong kids! Thanks for all of the talking you did with each of us to prepare us for this. As hard as it is to think of living our lives without you, we are all happy that you no longer suffer and are at peace. We are busy preparing the send off that you wanted - right down to the last instruction. I'm sure you will be happy as we all gather to celebrate your life. Our family and friends have been unbelievable in their outpouring of support and love for us. Each hug and kind word makes it a little easier. Please give a great big hug and kiss to Nana and all of our other loved ones that you are enjoying the company of now. Don't beat Aunt Nancy too bad in the first few games of bridge! You have always told us "one day at a time" and that is how we are taking it. We love you so very much and we will try to be strong for you and to carry on to make your proud. Please say some special prayers for Dad, watch over all of us and keep your arms around Katie, Tyler, Alexa, Hannah, Ashley, Madison, Ross, Derek, Ryan and that new beautiful baby Girl that will be joining us soon. Thank you for everything Mom. Enjoy the peace that you so richly deserve. All My Love, Your Oldest Daughter Patricia Ann

Derek was happy to know that you're still alive in heaven. But Ross and Ryan are happy for the same reason Derek is happy. Ryan was crying because Ross and Derek were sad and he caught on. Dear Murphy Family, I am so sorry to hear of Mary's passing. I had the privilege of working with her at Reebok for several years and know what a special person she was. Reebok was lucky to have her and I feel blessed to have known and worked with her. With Deepest Sympathy, Rob Shepard

Nan I can’t believe it’s already been two years. I love miss you more every day. I miss everything about you but esp. I miss being able to call you whenever I needed someone to talk to. You were always there the cheer me up no matter what time it was or what you were doing. Thank you for that also thank you for watching out for my dad he’s getting better and I know that partly because of you. But that’s just the kind of person you are suga. You always believed in me no matter what anyone else said or thought. And because of that I am where I am today. I just hope someday I am half as successful as you were. Well I just wanted to come say hi because I haven’t written on this in awhile. Give Uncle Rick a kiss for me. You ARE absolutely the best nana. I would rather have only 18 years with you then a lifetime with anyone else. I LOVE YOU NANA!!! Oh and ps I got a tattoo for you a month ago. It makes me smile every time because it reminds me of you... CHEERS
