Obituary For Mark Richard Sprague.

Mark R. Sprague, Sr. 75 of Rockland died suddenly on March 12, 2018 at the South Shore Hospital. Son of the late Harry and Beatrice (Farrah) Sprague, he was raised and educated in Weymouth. He has made his home in Rockland since 1975,

He was a self employed window and door contractor and was a proud veteran of both the United States Army and Air Force. Mark was a member of the Whitman American Legion and was a Life Member of both the Rockland VFW and the Rockland DAV. He was also a member of the Top Three Retired Military Association. He also enjoyed billiards, bowling and mostly loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan C. (Pinkham) Sprague, his children, Mark R. Sprague, Jr. Lisa M. Martin and Eric W. Sprague all of Rockland, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was the brother of Harry F. Sprague of VT, Billy L. Sprague of Whitman and the late Beatrice Torrey, Thelma Wilcox, Dorothy Edwards, Annette Keene, Charles Spragu, Leonard Sprague and Franklin Sprague. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

The Sprague family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life on Sunday March 18, 2018 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday March 19, 2018 at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial with Military Honors will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Monday afternoon at 2:15 PM.     When I came to Mass a few years ago Mark was the first person to talk to me in the VFW. Him and his family took me in and treated me like family. I swill miss him pray for his family
