Obituary For Marilyn J. Damon

Marilyn J. Damon, 79 of Rockland died on September 3, 2016 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Timothy and Julia (Donahue) Damon and was raised and educated in West Roxbury, later graduating from Roslindale High School.

Marilyn was a longtime employee of One Beacon Insurance, where she worked as a clerk. She loved to read, and to travel, especially to York Beach in Maine. Marilyn was an avid Red Sox fan and loved following the team.

Mrs. Damon was the wife of the late Kenneth L. Damon. Sister of, Richard B. Donahue of Marlboro, Robert D. Donahue of Scituate, and the late Claire Kenty. Sister in Law of Shirley Damon of Rockland. Also survived by 5 Neices and Nephews.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate her life on Thursday September 8, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. in Rockland. A Funeral Home Service will follow visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in the Hanover Center Cemetery.

    Marilyn was my supervisor at Mass General Hospital in the 1990's. She was a wonderfully talented manager and compassionate health care worker. I will always remember her fondly. Kathleen C.
