My sister-in-law of almost 50 years..... Thinking back over all those years and remembering so many wonderful family times.... from being in her wedding, the births of our children, the love and laughter shared at family gatherings. She was a wonderful person inside and out. Marilyn was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, sister and friend. She adored her family... and made a beautiful home for them to share. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her💕.

So many of my childhood memories are tied to the visits to Rockland to see family. Marilyn, as well as Tom, Marc, & Mike are part of those special times. Even when I lost my Dad this spring, and knowing that Marilyn was ill, she wrote a lovely note in the sympathy card she sent; always thoughtful and caring.

Marilyn was my maid of honor in 1975 when Paul and I got married at Chateau de Ville. She accepted the novelty of a "Jewish-Italian" wedding with grace and generosity. That was typical of how she approached life.

Marilyn (or as I teasingly called you, 'Malaryn'), we have known each other since we were 7. A lot happened in those years and many wonderful memories are etched in my brain. Our families were also close. Some of our memories started with the Brownies Troup, the parties at your house, by the pool, our trip to Maine to spend a week with Sissy (cousin Linda), the Oreo cookie disaster (!!), the time(s) we had to push our friend Jeannie's car because it ran out of gas, the college experience and the time I came to see you and spent a weekend at your dorm and we had way too much wine, the trip to Florida 4 years ago, and, oh the list goes on. I will never forget these times Marilyn. You were the rock that tried to hold us all together. We all drifted to other areas in our lives but we always kept in touch and saw each other whenever we could. I give you credit for your strength. Then you fought the hardest fight of your life and I was amazed at your courage. You were a beautiful person who loved life and loved your family and friends. My heart is broken. My condolences to Mike, Kristen and all the Celestino family. The many pictures of Marilyn and her beautiful grandchildren show how much joy they brought her during her painful battle. May she Rest In Peace 🙏🏻

We'll never forget the many happy family get togethers we went to at the Celestino home in Rockland where Marilyn was always a warm and gracious hostess. The world has lost a beautiful person.
