Marie (Lincoln) Metivier, daughter of the late Ralph and Mildred Lincoln, died peacefully May 17, 2026 in hospice care at the age of 84. Marie grew up in Rockland, MA graduating from Rockland High School in 1959, and then Fisher College. She lived in Norwell, MA for 55 years before residing in Weymouth, MA for the past four years.

Marie, wife of the late John (Jack) C. Metivier, also of Rockland, MA is survived by her son Jeffrey Metivier and his wife Cara (Selleck deBeauport), and their children Julia Metivier and her fiancée Chandler Cole, and Christian deBeauport and his fiancée Katie Knight; and son Scott and his wife, their children Sean, Cara, and Mia Metivier and her husband Nate Gershaneck,and their daughters Ada and Nora.

She is also survived by cousins Stephen R. Dill of Anaheim, CA, Alan Phillips of Newburyport, MA, Richard B. Dill of Little Silver, NJ, their spouses, children, and grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

Always on the go, Marie seldom said no to a party. For many years she was active in The Home for Little Wanderers and North River Community Club, as well as several other clubs, and always had a large circle of friends keeping her busy. Her favorite times though were with her beloved husband Jack, whether traveling, dining and dancing the night away, and especially staying home surrounded by family.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones of Marie to celebrate her life at the Magoun- Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland, MA on May 26th, 2026 from 4:00-7:00PM. There will be no funeral service and burial is private. Donations in her memory may be made to The Home for Little Wanderers.
