Obituary For Marie Elena Kiley

Marie Elena (Abusheery) Kiley, aged 75, of Hingham and formerly of Dorchester passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

She was born in Boston on October 26, 1943 to her loving mother Libby K. Abusheery. Marie grew up in Dorchester and graduated Dorchester High with the class of 1962.

At the age of 16, Marie met Gerard (Jerry) Kiley. They would later marry in 1967 in St. Peter's Church in Boston and spend 53 years together. In 1970, Marie and Jerry moved their growing family to Hingham. Marie dedicated her life to caring for her family. As her children took on different sports and activities, she made sure they were at every game, practice, meeting or event. She was the consummate Hockey Mom and was loved by many in that world. As her children grew, she dedicated more time to her artistic side, painting, crocheting, crafting ceramics and knitting blankets for her grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and her sauce and meatballs were famous.

Marie loved the beach and the New Hampshire lakes. She had an amazing sense of humor and her laugh would fill a room. She was selfless and loved being with family and friends more than anything else in the world. One of her favorite things to do was watch every Red Sox game with her husband. She cherished going to church and living out her faith.

Beloved wife of Gerard J. Kiley, Sr, loving mother of Michele Bradley and her husband Ronnie of Hingham, Gerard J. Kiley Jr. of Hingham, Christopher Kiley of Hull and Alexandra Kiley of Hingham. Caring sister of John Abusheery and his wife Cheryl, Donna Leetch and her husband Tom and the late Robert Abusheery. Cherished grandmother of Sarah Leber and her husband Michael, Devin Bradley, Rachel Bradley, Benicio Kiley and Bianca Kiley. Great grandmother of Cillian Leber. She is also survived by many loved nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The Kiley Family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Marie's life on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home at 135 Union Street, Rockland, MA 02370. Marie will still be my best friend forever in my heart. We lost touch for a short time, but love and deep friendship brought us back to each other somehow. Could never be without a best friend.
I send my sympathy and love to her cherished family, who she truly lived her life for.

Marie was one of my Dorchester High girlfriends both of us graduating in 1962. I would make it back for school reunions where we would talk about all the fun and good times we spent together. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her loving family. Arleen Schraft Chafitz Frederick, Md.
