Obituary For Marie E. Kavanaugh
Marie E Kavanaugh 7/18/1949 - 10/11/24
Marie Elaine Kavanaugh of Rockland, MA passed away at the age of 75 after a brief illness on October 11, 2024. Born on July 18, 1949 in Boston, Marie grew up in and around Boston. She attended Emanuel College. Marie was a licensed hair dresser, and worked as an administrative assistant for companies such as NFPA. She was an avid reader and could speak intelligently on many subjects. Marie loved to cook, watch movies, dance, and spend time with her family & friends as well as going shopping with her daughter-in-law's mom, Donna. She also loved and cared for animals of all kinds. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Kathleen Kavanaugh of Boston. She is survived by her son, Donald Zeoli Jr. and his wife Jeannie of Rockland MA, her brother Michael Kavanaugh and his wife Mary of Dorchester MA, and her brother Albert Kavanaugh of Naples, Florida. Marie also had several nephews and nieces that loved her dearly, and was like an adopted grandmother to Donald's nephews, Levi and Micah. Shortly before her passing, Marie expressed that she was ready to meet her Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she accepted at the age of 29. She will be missed by many, but we know that there is hope that we will see her again.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marie's memory to the MSPCA.org.
A graveside committal service will be held in the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree on October 25, 2024 at 10:00. The procession to the graveside will organize at 9:35 at the Blue Hill Cemetery Office. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM, on Friday, October 25, 2024, in the First Baptist Church, 200 Union St. Rockland, MA. Burial will follow at a later date.
