Obituary For Marian L. Sharkey

Marian Louise (DuBois) Sharkey, 92 of Brockton. Died on March 6, 2018 at St. Joseph's Manor Nursing Home in Brockton. She was born on June 27, 1925 in Brockton to the late Frederick and Mabel (Guinasso) DuBois. Marian was raised and educated in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School. She was the loving wife of the late Charles Sharkey. Mrs. Sharkey was a loving homemaker who dedicated her life to making sure her children and later grandchildren were well taken care of. Nothing made her happier than her family. Her love of baseball and the Red Sox was close behind. She also enjoyed spending her time reading.

Marian was the loving mother of Paula and her husband Michael Moriarty of Abington and Charles Sharkey Jr. and his wife Laurel of SC. She was the sister of the late Frederick DuBois Jr and the sister-in-law of Barbara Sharkey, the late Richard Sharkey and Joan Ivester. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Charles Sharkey III, Erica Heal, Brian Moriarty and Allison Sharkey. Marian leaves behind five great grandchildren, Aubrey, Landon, Katelyn, Chloe, and Liam, several nieces and nephews and her best friend and Health Aid Maria Mendez.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate her life on Monday March 12, 2018 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, MA from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM for visitation. At the conclusion of visitation, a funeral service will be held at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton, MA.
