Obituary For Margaret Powers
Margaret “Pegge” Powers passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on March 10, 2022 after a brief illness.
Born on October 16, 1933, daughter of Jesse (Hood) and Herbert Pugh of Westwood.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 42 years Richard and her daughter Beth and Beth’s husband Bruce. She is survived by her sister Carroll Allshire of Brookville Ohio, her son Mark and wife Mary of Duxbury, son Scott and wife Stacie of Plymouth and daughter Kim and husband Doug of Plymouth. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren Kaitlin, Tyler, Laura, Lisa, Joseph, Samuel, Gregory, Andrew, Jeffrey and Caroline and great grandchild Olivia as well as her 5 step grandchildren Robert, Heather, Hannah, Lily, Brook and step great grandchild Sunny. She is also survived by 4 nieces and 1 nephew.
Pegge graduated from Westwood high school. After graduation she went to work for the FBI where she worked until the birth of her first child. After her children were grown, she started a second career with the Town of Hanover. She continued to work for the town into her mid eighties until she retired after more than 30 years.
She was a resident of Hanover for over 40 years before moving to Rockland in 2001.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She could always be found at the sporting events of her children and grandchildren. She also stayed connected with the FBI through their alumni association. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Hanover for over 60 years.
A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 547 Hanover St Hanover, MA 02339, on Saturday March 19 at 1 PM. All are welcome. Burial will be private

I will always remember Peggy and my brother for the many years they were together. Peggy and Dick were like my parents, raising a wonderful family with the love they shared with their children and grandchildren.

Dear Kim Pegge will be missed greatly by The Prayer Shawl Ministry at Church. She was a faithful knitter and helped share God's love and comfort. .Her smiling face will be missed at the Church Fair knitted table,also. We will miss her Love Linda Gilardi
