Obituary For Margaret L. Morton

Margaret L. (McGinnis) Morton, 82 of Rockland died on October 27, 2015 at the Wingate at Silver Lake Nursing Facility. She was born in Boston, daughter of Walter and Celia (Foley) McGinnis and was raised and educated in Roxbury. She was a graduate of the Mission Church Grammar and High Schools.

For many years she had been employed at AAA in Rockland as a claims processor. A Rockland resident for more than 50 years, she loved to shop, socialize and listen to music.

She was a faithful Communicant of Holy Family Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Wife of the late William V, Morton, Sr. she is survived by her children, William V. Morton, Jr. and his wife Karen of Kingston, Teresa M. Harrington and her husband Thomas of Pembroke, John J. Morton and his wife Joanne of Duxbury and Jeanne M. Morton of Hanover. She was the sister of the late Sr. Theresa Margaret and John J. Morton. She was the devoted grandmother to Molly and Margaret Harrington, Hannah, William and Chatham Morton. j The family celebrated her life on Friday, October 30, 2015 from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at the Holy Family Church. Donations in her memory may be made to, Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle Suite 236 Plymouth, MA.
