Obituary For Margaret Cataloni
Margaret "Peggy" F. Cataloni (Healy), 88, long time resident of Rockland died peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 23, 2020 surrounded by her family. Peggy was born 02/21/1932 and raised in South Boston, (Southie), daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret Healy. The beloved wife of 55 years to the late Charles "Charlie" G. Cataloni, from Hyde Park and raised their family in Rockland.
Peg co-owned the former Cataloni's Restaurant in Rockland with her late husband for many years. A devoted member of the Holy Family Parrish and Mothers Club where she enjoyed weekly bingo. She enjoyed weekly trips Nickerson Theater and Mohegan Sun with Charlie. Peg was an avid sports fan that enjoyed watching all the New England teams with her family.
She is survived by her sister Claire King of Rockland, her son Charles G. Cataloni III and his wife Debra of Rockland, her daughter Noreen Stewart and her husband Mark of Alton Bay, New Hampshire, son Christopher Cataloni and longtime girlfriend Maryellen of Halifax, daughter Julie Hammond and her husband Wayne of Rockland and son Patrick Cataloni of Scottsdale Arizona. She was predeceased by her sisters Mary Guerriero, Bridie Trefry, brother Patrick Healy, sisters Katherine Cooke and Noreen Spelios.
Margaret enjoyed the company of her seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her big heart and kind demeanor will be missed by all.
Respecting today's world health crisis, Margaret's family is holding a private funeral and burial service.
