M. Dorothea (Renner) Hutchings, 90, of Rockland died on September 23, 2010 at the South Shore Hospital surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Edward and Marion (Hinchey) Renner and was raised and educated in Dorchester. She has made her home in Rockland for the past 30 years. Mrs. Hutchings retired several years ago after working for twenty years at the former Filene’s department store in Braintree. Wife of the late Gordon P. Hutchings, she is survived by her children Robert G. Hutchings of Norwell, David E. Hutchings of Rockland and Elaine M. Polischuk of Malden. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dorothea’s family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate her life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND ON Monday September 27, 2010 from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston.
