Obituary For Luis Perez
In Loving Memory
Luis Perez, 61 years of age, passed away on January 2,2025 peacefully with his two sons by his side.
Luis was born July 8,1963 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to the late Victoriano Perez and Juanita Garcia. He was the youngest of three children. His family moved from Puerto Rico in 1971 to Holyoke, Massachusetts, where he lived until he moved to Quincy, Massachusetts. Also, he lived in Rockland, Massachusetts and Braintree, Massachusetts where he resided until his passing. Luis started a family with the late Corrina Venuti, he had two children and two stepchildren. Luis worked as a chef for many years. He worked in many restaurants over the years, specifically Kelly’s Landing in Weymouth, Massachusetts and the Olympic Diner in Braintree, Massachusetts until his passing.
Luis lived a very passionate life, spreading his love and joy to every single person he met.
He was a deeply loving grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren most of all. He loved to feed people and put a smile on their faces with his food that he poured his love into. In his youth Luis was extremly athletic, he was very into weight lifting and body building. He was also a fantastic boxer earning himself the golden gloves two times. He had a deep love for animals, specifically caring for his Oscar fish. Luis was a lover of music, always playing music loudly where ever he went. He was a very generous, caring and loyal person, anybody who encountered him knew that he would literally give you the shirt off his back. He was extremely supportive to his family and many, many friends. He was a joyous man who loved to laugh and also make others laugh. Luis loved a good prank often messing with family, friends and coworkers. He will be missed dearly.

Luis leaves behind two sons, Luis Centeno and his wife Carley of Rockland, Massachusetts, Antonio Centeno of San Diego, California. His Grandchildren Benjamin and Corrina Centeno, Tighe Carroll and Aria Oliveira. His Two sisters Maria “Lulu” O’Neill of Springfield, Massachusetts and Olga Iris Perez of Holyoke, Massachusetts. His Stepson Micheal Venuti of Quincy, Massachusetts. His Nieces, Rosa, Ivelis and Amarillys Rodriguez of Springfield, Massachusetts. His nephews Gavin Rodriguez and Conor O’Neill. His cousins and many friends.

En Memoria Amorosa
Luis Pérez, de 61 años de edad, falleció el 2 de enero de 2025 en paz junto a sus
dos hijos en Su lado. Luis nació el 8 de julio de 1963 en Río Piedras, Puerto Rico,
hijo de los fallecidos Victoriano Pérez y Juanita García. Era el menor de tres hijos.
Su familia se mudó de Puerto Rico en 1971 a Holyoke, Massachusetts, donde vivió
hasta que se mudó a Quincy, Massachusetts. También vivió en Rockland,
Massachusetts y Braintree, Massachusetts. donde residió hasta su fallecimiento. Luis
formó una familia con la difunta Corrina Venuti, tuvo dos hijos y dos hijastros. Luis
trabajó como chef durante muchos años. Trabajó en muchos restaurantes a lo largo
de los años, específicamente Kelly's Landing en Weymouth, Massachusetts y el
Olympic Diner en Braintree, Massachusetts hasta su fallecimiento. Luis vivió una vida
muy apasionada, contagiando su amor y alegría a cada persona que conoció. Luis
era un abuelo profundamente cariñoso que disfrutaba pasar tiempo con sus nietos
sobre todo. Le encantaba alimentar a la gente y poner una sonrisa en sus rostros
con su comida en la que vertía su amor. En su juventud, Luis era un atleta extremo,
le gustaba mucho el levantamiento de pesas y el culturismo. También fue un
boxeador fantástico que ganó los Guantes de Oro dos veces. Tenía un profundo
amor por los animales, especialmente por su pez Oscar. Luis era un amante de la
música, siempre tocaba música a todo volumen dondequiera que iba. Era muy
generoso, Persona cariñosa y leal, cualquiera que lo conociera sabía que literalmente
te daría la camisa que llevaba puesta. Apoyaba muchísimo a su familia y a muchos,
muchos amigos. Era un hombre alegre al que le encantaba reír y hacer reír a los
demás. A Luis le encantaban las bromas y a menudo se metía con familiares,
amigos y compañeros de trabajo. Lo extrañaremos mucho. "Para nosotros no hay
