Obituary For Louise C. Muzrall

Louise C (Poore) Muzrall passed away peacefully on March 30, 2017.

Louise was born in West Newbury, MA on March 24, 1918, the daughter of the late Philip and Mary (Noyes) Poore. Louise graduated from West Newbury High School and Salem State Teachers College. After college, she taught grades one through six in a one room school house in Pembroke NH. She was married in 1942 and resided in Norwell for 75 years. Beloved wife of the late Arthur H Muzrall, cherished mother of Charlotte Muzrall of Scarborough, ME, Martha Mayo of Lincoln, ME, David and his wife Catherine Muzrall of Rockland, MA and the late Curtis Muzrall. Loving grandmother of Cherise Halla, Lori Varaklis, Darrell Mayo, Delores Chamberlain, Judith Mayo, Ronald Mayo, Clinton Mayo, Daniel Muzrall, Stephen Muzrall, Matthew Muzrall and Marcy Schantz. She is also survived by many great, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Emily Poore, Charlotte Muzrall, Howard Poore, George Poore and Raymond Poore of West Newbury, MA.

Since 1942, Louise has been a member of St Andrew's Episcopal Church in Hanover, MA where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Altar Guild. She was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader for many years. Louise was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, a Rainbow Mother and a member of the Laurel Grange of West Newbury. Louise enjoyed playing cards with her friends and visits with her family.

Louise was passionate about genealogy and was a charter member of the South Shore Genealogy Society, the New England Historic and Genealogical Societies and the New Hampshire Society of Genealogy. She was also an active member of the Dyer, Huntington and Mazerolle Associations.

Her family welcomes friends and relatives to celebrate her life on Tuesday April 4th at 10 AM at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM at St Andrew's Episcopal Church, 17 Church Street, Hanover. Burial will be private. Donations can be made in Louise's memory to St Andrew's Episcopal Church.

    Louise was a kind lady and very accomplished. However, there is a whole generation of children in Norwell who will always remember her most for her cider at Halloween. Her house was a memorable stop for all of them. My condolences to her children and their families. Patricia Rice

    Saddened by the news as a child I loved going to her house every year for Halloween. I think all of us kids in that neighborhood looked forward to Halloween and her warm apple cider she will be missed.

    So very sorry to hear of Mrs. Muzrall's passing. Such a beautiful woman. Most fondest memory and I'm sure it's many others who grew up in Jacob's Trail neighborhood was trick or treating and always running to Mr. and Mrs. Muzrall's for their apple cider. May she rest in peace. God Bless.
