Obituary For Lorraine M. Waters

Lorraine Marie Waters (Hunter) passed away unexpectedly at the age of 81 on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Lorraine was born at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, MA on February 3, 1940 to Lawrence Greenwood Hunter and Elizabeth Hunter (Campbell) of Dorchester. Lorraine grew up in Abington, MA and graduated from Abington High School in 1957. She was Vice President of the Glee Club, performed in the Drama Club, was in the Pep Squad, and played basketball. She loved cooking and entertaining socially, most memorably was Christmas Eve dinner for her family. She loved boating and fishing with her husband and their retirement life in Fort Meyers, Florida with their dogs Cinnamon and Cognac. Lorraine was married to her husband Robert F. Waters (pre-deceased). She is survived lovingly by her sister Margaret Elizabeth Moore (Hunter) and her husband Eric of North Carolina, daughter Brenda Mallar-Reske and her husband Tom of Rockland, Donna Manna and her partner Phillip of Meredith, NH. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren Melissa Ludwig and her husband Mathew of Danvers, Michael Mallar and his fiancée Amanda of Duxbury, Mia Manna and her partner Rob of Hanson, and Matthew Manna and his partner Rachael of Meredith, NH. Great-grand-daughters Ava and Rose Ludwig, nieces Becky, Ruthie and Sarah, her very special friends Cynthia and Betty. A private ceremony will be held at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
