Lorraine A. (Conley) Raymond, 83 of Hanson died on August 18, 2013 at the Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville. She was born in Boston daughter of John and Catherine (Flaherty) Conley. Lorraine was raised and educated in South Boston, graduating from Jerimiah E. Burke High School in 1948. Mrs. Raymond was a longtime resident of Hanson and worked as an assistant in the towns library for over ten years. Mrs. Raymond loved reading, yard sales, and the beach. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late Richard L. Raymond. Mother of, Denise Cadres and her Husband James of OH, Judy Foley and her Husband Robert of Middleboro, Richard Raymond of Holbrook, Jeffrey Raymond and his wife Linda of Bridgewater. Sister of Barbara Conley of Quincy, Kathleen Paulson of Braintree, Geraldine Henault of Quincy, Robert Conley of Quincy and the late June Glynn, and Arlene Coolen. Mrs. Raymond was also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.


The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Lorraine's life on Wednesday, August 18, 2013 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM in St Joseph the Worker Church in Hanson. Burial with follow in the Fern Hill Cemetery.
