I don't have any memories, I never met your mother or you guys. I just felt need to light a candle. I have loss many loved ones and it is the most difficult part of life. But, I have been told the way to heaven is by the number of prayers said for the person. If you guys and all your friends and family say a prayer she will get to heaven faster. I believe there is a better place, and we all have a purpose. Your mom filled hers, you or I will never know what that purpose was. The sadness you feel and will feel is okay, the anger, guilt, pining, and denial it is all okay. She will, be your special angel in heaven, make her proud. Remember the people who leave us live on in our hearts, so take time to listen to your heart beat. And know, they are still with you. I wish you the best, take care of each other.

Gert, Richie, Jen & Nic, No words can express our sadness. The love of a child, wife and mom will be with each of you always. Our hearts are broken and in time as the pain/tears lessen, we all will hold Loreen close to our hearts/prayers and always remember the devoted daughter, loving wife, and wonderful Mom. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We love all of you and will always be here for you. They are not dead who live in lives thy leave behind. In those whom they have blessed, they live again. May you rest in peace, Loreen. We will be there for Gert, Richie, Jen & Nice.

Jennie Walker (you know I have to say both).. you and your brother were the world to your mom. You were her joy and her pride. Continue to grow into the wonderful young adults she knew you'd be and then she will never be far. Through this sad time, rely on your friends and family, we are all here for you. Your mom will be missed but know that she is at peace and may that peace soon extend to you and your family. With fond memories, Karen Murray

I went all through school with Loreen and we were in homerooms together a lot and seated by eachother because of the Batts, Bird combo! Loreen always made me laugh. One time she had me laughing so hard in 7th grade that I ended up getting in trouble for it, but it was worth it...a great memory! I'm sorry that I didn't get to see her as we got older, but it seems she has such a wonderful family and I am so glad to see that! I'm sending all my love and sympathy to Loreen's family. Please know how much she was loved by so many people...even people she hadn't seen in a LONG time...I will hold her close and I will be thinking of you all. God Bless you!!!

Loreen was a very funny lady, she made me laugh every time I saw her either at the Esten School or on the Soccer field with her mother. Nicholas and my son Nicolas are classmates and they played soccer togeather. Even though I've only known Loreen since 2005 she was always a joy to talk to. She was always happy and made my day. The last time I saw her was at the Esten School at the Wax Museum when her Nicholas was Abraham Lincoln she was so proud of him, and again she was so happy to be there. I wish I could have seen her more, she will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love Barbara, Nicolas and Family

Jenny, Kayla and I were so saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. She was such a loving and joyful person to be around and you and your brother Nicholas were the light of her life. Loreen always helped make school field trips and girl scout camping so much more enjoyable with her friendly and happy ways. Please know we will keep you, Nicholas your Dad and Grandmother in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Denise (Nana) and Kayla

I grow up with Loreen. She was my next door neighbor and best friend. Loreen was like the sister I never had. I spent alot of tine with her, Gert & Paul. They were like my second family. I am sorry that we lost contact after graduating from High School. But she was always in my thoughts. Gert, I can't imaging the pain you are feeling. You are I my thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately I never got to meet Jenni and Nick or Rich, I hope that time and memories will heal your hearts. RIP Loreen you were very loved and will be missed.

Dear Battsy, I have many fond memories of the fun times I spent with you. Some I will keep to myself because I don't think it's appropriate to publicize them but some of my favorites include listening to Jim Morrison from the Doors (LA Woman), bacon & egg sandwiches with ketshup, adventures in San Diego, hanging up the dirt road, climbing the tower for the first time, campfires in the woods, and the famous Christmas Eve parties at the Batt Estate. I will miss you dearly give Big Vin a hug & kiss for me. I love you. Beth

I miss you and I love you and if I could give up everything just to see you again, I would. Rest in peace mom, we love love love and miss you and always will.

I grew up knowing Loreen as my cousin. My mother Jacquie and Loreen's mother were best friends so we saw each other all the time. Loreen was only 1 year older than me so this is just so agonizing to fathom. My whole heart goes out to the Batts and Walker families and may Loreen rest in peace. Love, Jacquie(Hall)Sheehan

  • 05/25/2021

Mrs. Batts, Richie, Jenny & Nick, I'll always remember the birthday parties your mom threw for you kids. They were fun for all. Rain or shine we always had a great time. Just keep in your thoughts, all the great fun times enjoyed with your mom. Frog Pond, trips to the Science Museum, the Aquarium, going to lunch just for the heck of it and the beach, trips to Maine in the summers. Those are all good memories to hold onto. What a fun loving & warm hearted person Loreen was, we all have cherished memories of Loreen. She will be an Angel in Heaven to watch over and protect her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Rest in Peace my friend.

Loreen was not only a friend to me but like a mother to my son Zachary, who's best friend is Nick. She was always there to lend a helping and never would say no- ( always "SURE"!) She was the kind of mother who took the time to sit and play with her kids. I am so glad I was there for her birthday lunch with grammy too.I will remember our talks and fun time with our boys. Loreen was a special person and we are all very lucky to have known her. Our hearts go out to her whole family.- with love and in our Prayers- Amy, Alex, Zachary and Bugzy~~
