Obituary For Liza Landy

Liza Landy, 55, of Rockland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 7th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter to her family.

Liza was a proud mother to her two children, Christopher Landy and Alison Landy. As well as a devoted wife to her husband Daniel Landy.

Liza grew up in Pembroke with her seven siblings, Sandra Newcomb, Doreen Newcomb, Jeff Blades, Roberta Sawtelle, Tommy Blades, late Tammy Blades, and Everett Blades. As well as loving sister to the late Marilyn Hamilton, Charles Blades, late Herbert Blades Jr, and late James Blades. She was the youngest daughter of the late Herbert Blades and late Janice Blades. She was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Liza later settled down in Rockland with her husband where she was loved by many in town, as she previously worked for the Rockland Council on Aging as the van driver and as the Town Clerk at the Rockland Town Hall.

She was known for her contagious laugh and always being able to make everyone smile. She loved spending time with her family and had a huge love for dogs, and she would much prefer to sptime with dogs rather than their owners.

The Landy family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate her life in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home on Friday, January 30, from 4:00-7:00 pm.

I'll always remember her driving us all home from school, and the second she got on to our quiet street, she would swerve her red van sharply to each side of the road throwing all of the kids around in the back seats as we all laughed uncontrollably. Liza's energy was infectious, she was truly a one of a kind soul. Sending so much love to Dan, Ali, Chris and the entire family.
