Obituary For Lisa D. Titus

Lisa D. (O’Maley) Titus, 66 of Hanover, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by family and close friends on November 3, 2022 after a brief but courageous fight against cancer. Born on September 12, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Florence O’Maley of Hyde Park, MA. Lisa spent most of her childhood in Roslindale and was a graduate of Roslindale High School Class of 1974. After high school she met her loving husband, Jerry H. Titus while working together at The New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA. They were married in 1981 and spent 41 devoted years together, raising their family in Hanover. Their neighbors became lifelong friends, with whom they celebrated many block parties, holidays, and momentous occasions. While raising two small children, Lisa attended Massasoit Community College and earned her Associate Degree in Science in 1992. In 2001, she went on to receive her Perioperative Nursing Certificate from Northeastern University and then spent the remaining 21 years of her nursing career at Jamaica Plain VA Medical Center in Boston, MA. Lisa worked in both the Operating Room and the Pain Clinic where she and her coworkers could be found making any mundane workday filled with singing and dancing, jokes and laughter. It would be remiss not to say that her working was, in fact, just to fund her next vacation. An avid traveler, Lisa and Jerry visited many countries but always found their way back to their favorite place, Hawaii. With a Mai Tai in hand, Lisa will always be remembered for her boisterous laugh and larger- than-life personality. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Titus of Hanover, MA; loving mother to her son, Matthew Titus of Weymouth, MA; daughter, Lauren Daube and her husband Matthew Daube of Pembroke, MA; She was best known as “NeNe” to her grandchildren, Owen, Anna and Nora. She is also survived by her brother Kevin O’Maley and his wife, Myra of Mount Dora, FL and sister-in-law Sharon Titus of Landaff, NH. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours on November 9, 2022 from 5-8 PM at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St., Rockland, MA. Funeral service will be held on November 10, 2022, at 11 AM, at Church Hill United Methodist Church, 11 Church St., Norwell, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lisa may be made to Church Hill United Methodist Church, 11 Church St., Norwell, MA.
