Obituary For Linda V. Dawda

Linda V. (Zukowski) Dawda, 68 of Pembroke died on July 2, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Boston daughter of Domenick and Alice (Palmer) Zukowski and was raised and educated in Dorchester. She has made her home in Pembroke for 30 years.

Linda was a 1964 graduate of South Boston High School and later received her L.P.N. degree at Quincy Jr. College and later her R.N. degree at Quincy College.

Mrs. Dawda had a wide ranging career in nursing working at several hospitals and later served as the Director of Resident Services at the Riverbay Club in Quincy and most recently had been employed at the Boston Fire Department as Director of their medical services.

She was the wife of John W. Dawda and the mother of Jill V. Askin. Linda was the grandmother of Delaney V. Ryan, Tanner J. Leary and Rowan R. Leary all of Pembroke. Also surviving is her sister Carol Shamshack of Quincy. She was predeceased by her sister Lucille Card. The family welcomes friends and relatives to celebrate her life on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11:30 AM. Cremation will follow.
