Lawrence Michael Lowe “Larry”, 62, of Marshfield MA, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2024. Larry was born in Brockton MA on December 23, 1961. He was the son of the late Marion (Lucille) Cullinan and the late Kenneth Merle Lowe and brother of the late Fran Hastings of Ottawa, KS.

He is survived by his wife Susan of Marshfield, sister Karen Byers and her husband Richard of RocklandMA, daughter Kaylee Lowe of Quincy, son Kenneth Lowe and his partner Liz Monschauer of Manchester, NH, stepson William Piper of Chelsea MA, stepson Benjamin Piper of Marshfield MA, mother-in-law Ingrid Rogalski and father-in-law Karl Rogalski of Weymouth, MA, uncle Michael O’Connor and his wife Sandra of East Bridgewater MA and several nieces and nephews.

Larry grew up in Abington MA, graduating from Abington High School in 1979. He also lived in Rockland MA and Marshfield MA. At the tender age of 17, Larry joined the Army, serving from August 1979 until July 1982, working as a tank mechanic. He was stationed for 2 years in Mannheim Germany. After being honorably discharged, he held positions as manager at Tech Lube in Brockton/Abington MA, Automotive Warranty Assistant Claims Manager at Royal Administration Services in Hanover MA, and Automotive Warranty Claims Manager at Sunpath LTD in Braintree MA.

In January of 2011, Larry met his 2nd wife Susan, and they were married on January 1, 2015. Susan and Larry had many adventures together, including ziplining and ATVing in NH and jetskiing in Clearwater Beach FL, persuading Susan to overcome her fear of heights and water. He enjoyed traveling, especially to beach locales, including Aruba in March 2020 right before COVID hit and Bermuda as part of a cruise in July 2023. They were also able to enjoy a trip to Las Vegas for the Iheart Radio Music Festival that Susan won in a radio contest in 2013. Another favorite destination was Newport RI for Larry’s birthday.

Larry was loved by many because of his great sense of humor, mischievous ways and an ability to get along with nearly everyone, striking up conversations everywhere he went. Practically the entire Stop and Shop staff knew him by name.

Larry was an amazing cook, painstakingly preparing lasagna using his beloved mother’s handwritten recipeand making her macaroni salad, to Susan’s delight.

With Susan’s German heritage and Larry’s time spent in Germany with the Army, he enjoyed attending German events at the Boylston Schulverein in Walpole MA on many occasions.
