Laura D. (MacLarty) Richardson Crea of Bridgewater passed away Tuesday November 29, 2016 at the age of 86. She was born in Bethlehem PA to Roderick and Flora (Campbell) MacLarty, raised and educated in North Quincy MA. She graduated from North Quincy High followed by 3 ½ years at Massachusetts College of Art. Later moving to the town of Rockland, she was employed as a substitute teacher in the Rockland School system; Engineering Secretary at Electro Signal Lab, and the Complaint Intake Coordinator at the Department of Education while raising a family. Laura was an active member of the Channing Unitarian Church of Rockland for 15 years, singing in the choir, member of the bell ringing group and serving on many committees. She loved museums, classical music, theatre and was an accomplished pianist. Every night her family was treated to the sound of her beautiful piano playing. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo with lifelong friends Winnifred and Veronica. Later moving to Bridgewater she played Dominoes weekly with her friend Shirley and the rest of the ladies at High Pond Estates. Laura was predeceased by her first husband Alfred B. Richardson, and second husband Anthony Crea; also predeceased by her bother Roderick L. MacLarty of North Weymouth. She is survived by three children; Laura D. (Richardson) Driscoll and husband Peter of Hanover, David A. Richardson of Santa Cruz CA and Matthew C. Richardson of San Francisco CA, grandmother of Douglas N. Billings Jr. of Kingston and Jennifer L. Geswell of Norwell and Katie M. Driscoll of Altadena, Ca.; beloved great-grandmother of 5, Eddie, Collin, Anna, Jillian and Declan.

The family welcomes friends and relatives for visiting hours on Wednesday December 7, 2016 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Magoun-Biggins on Thursday December 8th at 11:30 a.m. Donations in her memory can be made to the Activities fund at LifeCare Center of West Bridgewater.
