We are sad to announce the passing of beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend, Kristine Nordstrom Johnson of Rockland, Massachusetts.

Kristine known as Kris, was born and raised in Quincy, MA and spent most of her life on the South Shore. As a young woman she wanted to see more and traveled to Hawaii where she spent several years living and working before returning home to her parents in Duxbury. She was a hard worker and go-getter and spent many years employed at local banks, and Verizon. In later years Kris decided she wanted another change and went on to get her degree and worked as a teacher in local schools around the South Shore. She met and married her husband Robert Johnson in 1984. Together they enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire, and Maine with their beloved dog, taking their grand-nephews and niece to baseball games and more. She also spent time helping her niece care for her young children, visiting far-flung family members and traveling to enjoy Broadway shows and visit friends.

Although her siblings lived all over the U.S., Kris embraced the role of being the glue that kept them all connected. She loved visiting her family and letting everyone know what other family members were doing. Her generous heart and fun- loving nature made her a favorite with her nieces and nephews. Her kindness and compassion were hallmarks of her personality and even throughout a 4 -year battle with Alzheimer’s she never lost her loving disposition which was a blessing to everyone who knew her.

She leaves behind her devoted companion Robert Johnson of Rockland, her sister Linda Twomey of Marshfield, her brother Bruce Nordstrom of Catonsville, MD, her sister Janis Horton of Austin, TX along with their spouses and beloved nieces, nephews and their children.
