The little girl still inside me thanks you deeply for the patience, kindness, and love you showed to two young, lost children back in the 1980s. You mattered more than you probably ever knew. You truly made a difference. Because of you, I was given the greatest gift: my favorite person in the world and my hero, Mimi. For that, I will be forever grateful. You also had your fair share of wisdom! I still remember you warning me not to slide into the baseball bases......and then promptly proving your point with yet another set of painful "raspberries" on your very own kegs! 😂 You really should've followed your own advice! And of course, one of your most important life lessons still sticks with me to this day....how to properly eat a cheeseburger. All the way around the edges first, saving the best bites in the middle for last. So yummy and yes, I've passed this tradition on to all five of my kids. Rest in peace, Kevin. Please give Mimi and Grampy the long overdue hug they deserve, from me. 💕
