Obituary For Kevin Callahan

Kevin Callahan, 68 of Hanson, MA passed away Monday December 1st, after a long illness. Kevin, originally from Dorchester, is the son of the late Joseph and Eleanor Callahan. Prior to his illness Kevin spent nearly 40 years as the assistant clerk magistrate at the Boston Municipal Court. He is a graduate of Stonehill College where he played point guard on the men's basketball team. Kevin was an avid runner and completed 6 marathons. His real passion in life however, was his family. He leaves his wife of 42 years, Janice and his four daughters; Shannon Callahan and her Husband Josh Randolph of San Antonio TX, Meaghan Zadrozny and her Husband John of East Bridgewater, Kaitlin Taber and her Husband Sam of Newton and Brenna Callahan of Hanson. Kevin was also the brother of the late Peter Callahan and Phillip Callahan. He also leaves his brother Jack and wife Becky of Mesa, Arizona. Brother-in-law to Gail Callahan of Canton and Mary Callahan of Redondo Beach, CA. Kevin was also the beloved Papa to Joey, Charlie, Sam and Teddy Zadrozny and Elise Randolph. Many nieces and nephews. The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life from 5-8 PM on Friday, December 5, 2014 in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday December 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church Hanson. Services will be followed by cremation. Donations in his Memory may be made to, Caring for a Cure, Massachusetts General Hospital Development Office, 100 Cambridge Street, Suite 1310 Boston, MA 02114.

    I called Kevin many many times to come & bail out prisoners. Kevin was a wonderful & down to earth man. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He fought a very hard battle!! My condolences to his family!
