Kent R. Riddell, of Kingston, September 23, 2006, Age 63. Husband of Sheila M. (Gallagher) Riddell. Father of Susan M. Riddell of Rockland, Cheryl K. Oliver and her husband David of Fl., and George R. Riddell and his wife Cecilia of Northbridge. Son of Barbara C. (Zahn) Riddell of Kingston and the late George R. Riddell. Brother of Meredith Riddell of Tx. Grandfather of Alexander S. and Ryan H. Riddell. A Funeral Service was held in the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. KINGSTON on Wednesday, September 27th at 11:00 AM. Visitation was on Tuesday, September 26th from 5-8 PM. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Kingston. Donations may be made to Jordan Hospital-Oncology Dept., 275 Sandwich St. Plymouth, MA 02360. Kent died at his home in Kingston gently cared for by his loving family. He was born in Plymouth and was raised and educated in Kingston, graduating from Silver Lake High School. He had been employed for over 40 years in the grocery business, first working for the A&P Company and later for Curtis Compact, Angelo's and Purity Supreme and later Stop and Shop where he was a receiver in the grocery department. Kent was a member of UFCW Local # 328. He loved to travel to Las Vegas as well as Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods in Connecticut. He was a baseball and softball enthusiast and was very proud of the fact that he had participated by playing in five decades. He was also a fan of the Atlanta Braves and San Francisco 49ers. Among his hobbies were baseball card collecting and listening to Country and Blues music.
