Obituary For Kenneth R. Williams

Kenneth R. Williams
Kenneth R. Williams, born July 1, 1945, of Rockland, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family.

Kenny was the beloved husband of Cindy Williams (Stringer), with whom he shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. He was a proud and beloved father to Edward Williams and his wife Christy of East Bridgewater, Steven Williams of Bridgewater, and Linda Williams of Rockland. He was affectionately known as “Papa” to his cherished grandchildren: Tyler and Ashlee of Rockland, and Kevin of East Bridgewater.

Kenny dedicated much of his life to serving the Town of Rockland, where he became known as the community’s only “tree guy” — earning the nickname “Kenny-Tree” from friends and neighbors. After retiring, he continued his love of the outdoors by working the grounds at Harmon Golf Course. He also found great joy in tending to his own yard, taking pride in creating a welcoming space for family and friends.

Kenny was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard, serving his country during the First Gulf War. His service reflected the same commitment and strength that he carried throughout his life.

Kenny was always happy to see everyone, greeting friends and family with warmth and kindness. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and by his sister, Priscilla Real of Rockland.

Kenny’s greatest joy was found in his family. He was a steady presence, a source of wisdom, and a man whose kindness touched all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, and the many friends and neighbors who were fortunate to share in his life.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date after the holidays. In the summer, military honors will be rendered in recognition of Kenny’s proud service to his country.
