Obituary For Kathryn V. Green

Kathryn Vincentic (Burke) Green of Rockland, formerly of Newton, passed away suddenly on April 1, 2026.

She was born on January 1. 1949 in Newton to the late William J. Burke and Mary (Clancy) Burke of Newton. Kathy graduated from St. Anne's Academy and received her BS in psychology from Newton College of Sacred Heart. She was the wife of the late John C. Green for 29 years.

Kathy is survived by her sisters Mary G. Burke of Marlboro, Margaret A. Burke and wife Patricia M. Connolly of Centerville, Elizabeth A. Leblanc and her husband Nelson Leblanc of Waltham, and her sister-in-laws Carey Burke wife of late William J. Burke, who died in 2015, she is also survived by her brothers, Richard and wife Deborah (Debra), Theodore and wife Patricia (McMillan) of Chatham, John J. Burke and his wife -Joanie (Mannix) of Centerville and many Nieces, Nephews, and cousins. She leaves dear friends James(Cohren) of NY and Denise Fran of Virginia. In addition she leaves her beloved dog Mattis, and 2 cats Fiona and Jackson. She gave a loving home to 3 dogs.

Some of her many activities and interests included knitting, crocheting, shopping, collecting and cooking. She was a communicant of St Bridget's Church in Abington. As a trustee the Blue Hill town houses, she had many friends who were dear to her.

When her mother passed at age 11, she became mother to her 7 siblings, ages 2-10. She always cooked Sunday dinner for her family and make all the holidays special and memories cherished. She was thoughtful, kind, giving and loving. She will be missed.
