Obituary For Kathryn A. Patry

Kathryn Ann Patry

She was born to Kathryn & Chester R. Carlson on August 6, 1940.

Cathy was the loving wife of 65 years to David P. Patry of Rockland.

She peacefully passed on August 19th surrounded by her loved ones.

She was the mother to Lynn, wife to Russell Jones of Duxbury and to the late Suzanne, wife to Roger Beattie of Abington.

Kathryn was the oldest of her two siblings; Caren Slusack of Hanover, and the late Linda Salmon. She was the doting aunt to several nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as “Cuggy”.

Her memory lives on through her 6 cherished grandchildren who affectionately called her Neena. Neena's legacy is further carried by her 2 great-grandchildren. Her memory will be a source of inspiration and love for generations to come.

She enjoyed her winters in St Croix. She was an avid reader and talented seamstress who enjoyed making her own clothing and custom drapes. Cathy could always be found listening to talk radio. Scrabble was a passion of hers.

Although she was considered a private person, to close family and friends they knew her to be generous, caring and a wonderful host.

Cathy was a homemaker but spent her earlier years as a professional seamstress.

Although Cathy’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled, her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. May she rest in eternal peace.

The Patry family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Kathryn’s life on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home.

Dear Dave, Lynn and Family I'm very saddened to hear about the passing of Kathy she was as kind and smart as she was beautiful and talented. I was lucky enough to have had her friendship. Dave you and Kathy have always treated me with incredible kindness love and respect, and you always welcomed me and my children to your home when we would be back to Rockland during the summers. I have and will always treasure the many hrs.' me and you and Kathy spent together just talking and laughing. Kathy was an incredible person she was never judgmental she was kind, and she was honest, and she listened she really cared about people. she loved her family. It's been too long since we sat together and laughed. And i will miss my friend but i will cherish and hold onto the memories we shared. Thank you, Kathy and Dave for everything. I love you both. your Friend Bobby Connors

Dear Lynn ~ I am so very sorry to learn of your beloved mom's passing. We suffer heartache as we lose our parents, but may your shared memories bring comfort to you and your families. As a side note, I very much enjoyed seeing you in the Hingham Panera at the Derby Street Shops when I was in town visiting my parents over ten years ago. You are just as lovely as you ever were, and I appreciated our friendship during our years of school in Rockland. Bless you, Lynn ♡ Grace (Urbaitis) Trinkl RHS Class of '76
