Obituary For Kathleen M. Connolly

Kathleen M. Connolly, 59 of Rockland died on September 14, 2011 at the South Shore Hospital. She was born in Malden, daughter of the late Alexander I. and Mary E. (White) Connolly and was raised and educated in Charlestown. She has made her home in Rockland since 1995.

Kathleen had been employed as a registration clerk at the Massachusetts General Hospital and during her youth she was a member of the Majestic Knights Drum Corps in Charlestown.

She is survived by her husband, Peter F. Geraghty of Rockland, a son Christopher P. Hickey and his wife Lissette Alvarado of VA and a daughter Paula M. Hickey of Rockland. She was the sister of Kevin P. Connolly of Malden and Michael J. Connolly of Tewksbury. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jayden C. Hinds and Atticus A. Hickey.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Kathleen's life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 9:00 AM in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1131 Fairfax, VA 22038.

I marched many years with her in the Majestic Knights and have many fond memories of Kathy thrpugh those years. i pray you and your family will find comfort and solace in the knowledge that she was loved and will be missed.     Dear Chris, Paula, Kevin, Mike, and Peter, Talking with Kathy was always such a pleasure; she made us all feel loved and valued. She shared many of the good qualities of her parents Al & Mary.
