Karl W. Nicholson, 68 of Pembroke died at his home on June 7, 2016. He was born in Wildenheid, Germany son of Helga (Wicklien) Nicholson of Rockland and the late Richard Nicholson. He was raised and educated in Rockland graduating from Rockland High School in 1965. He later attended Wentworth Institute of Technology.

He had a long career as a driver for Jenkins and Simmons in Abington and later John J. Gallagher Trucking. Karl was a proud Army veteran and was a member of the Abington VFW and the DAV. He had a love for roller coasters and travelled throughout the United States seeking the thrill of those rides.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Linda S. (Pittsley) Nicholson and their children Richard J. Nicholson, Jeffrey A. Nicholson and Karl M. Nicholson all of Pembroke. Also surviving are his grandchildren Cameron and Alexander Nicholson. Karl leaves behind his cousins Albert, Martha and Zeronika. He was pre-deceased by his grandparents Arno and Clara Wicklein and his uncle Rudolph Wicklein.

The family welcomes friends and relatives to celebrate her life on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 11, 2016 at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland.
