Obituary For Karen Mitchell
Obituary for Karen Mitchell
With a heavy heart, the Mitchell family announces the passing of Karen, a woman whose warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion shaped the lives of everyone around her. Karenās life was defined by the love she poured into her family, the joy she found in simple pleasures, and the kindness she shared freely with others.
Karen is remembered by her loving husband, Sean. She was the proud and devoted mother of Cory and his wife, Shelbi, and Meaghan and her husband, Chris, who carry forward her strength, compassion, and fiery spirit.
Her greatest joy came from being āNonnieā to her cherished grandchildren, Avacyn, Harper, Archer, and Aurelia. Each one brought light into her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. From taking them to the zoo, the playground, or bear hunts in the woods, Karen was always there for the next adventure.
Karen had a special gift for making others feel cared for. She enjoyed baking; she baked every birthday cake, Sunday dinners, and made sure that everyone had their favorite treat. She loved going to the movies with her best friend, her trips to the beach, but she especially loved spending her days on the North Carolina shores with her sister, Debbie.
Above all, Karenās life was centered on family. She created traditions, brought everyone together, and gave her heart without hesitation. Her legacy lives on in the people she loved, the memories she shaped, and the kindness she showed every day.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered
Karenās family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate her life in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 pm.
