Obituary For June E. McSweeney

June E. (Mortimer) McSweeney, 81 of East Wareham died on August 18, 2013, Wingate at Silver Lake Nursing Facility in Kingston. She was born in Boston daughter of William and Mable (Ricker) Mortimer.

June was the wife of the late Charles E. McSweeney. Mother of David C. McSweeney and his wife Gail of Pembroke, Donna M. Duff of TX, and Diane J McSweeney-Caffelle and her Husband Daniel of Norton. Grandmother of Patrick McSweeney, David McSweeney, Shelly Nelson, Amanda Nelson, Tyler Caffelle and Travis Caffelle. Sister of Catherine Brophy of Marblehead, William Mortimer of Plymouth, Dorothy Driscoll of FL, and Leo Mortimer of MD. Also survived by 5 Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate June's life on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 3:00-6:00 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM in St Patrick's Church in Wareham. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne Donations in her name may be made to GFWC of MA, June Mc Sweeney Fund, 245 Dutton Rd. PO Box 679, Sudbury MA 01776.

    June was such a bright, funny, stylish, wonderful, caring woman. She was always such a joy to work with at Allergy & Asthma and her presence will be missed. We will miss your wit, your knowledge of so many things and your smiling face! My thoughts are with her family.
