Judith A. Parrott of Norwell, formerly of Rockland and of Boston, age 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 13th, 2018. After many years of declining health, Judy found comfort and care at the Southwood Nursing Facility. Born in Boston to the late George and Catherine (Gormely) Mahoney, Judy's older sister Kathleen Mahoney Patrick predeceased her.

Judy married Clayton Parrott at a young age and raised six children: Susan, Catherine, Steven, Tim, Jude and her youngest son Terry Ryan who predeceased her. She was the grandmother of 11 grandchildren: Nicholas, Victoria, Keith, Annie, Alana, Dylan, Ethan, Jaiana, TJ, Nicholas, and Kendra.

Her decades-long career at Stop & Shop first in Rockland and then in Abington proved that hard work really does pay off. Beginning as an entry-level cashier and then working her way into the floral department, Judy was again promoted to inventory management before an untimely work-related-accident ended her impressive career.

Judy's family will honor her end-of-life-wishes and gather privately to commemorate her passing. The family would like to thank the many neighbors, friends and professionals who helped Judy throughout her life, especially during her last years.
