Obituary For Joyce N. Joseph

Joyce Nieforth Joseph, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024 at the age of 92. She leaves behind a family she adored and a legacy of love, faith, and service.
Born on May 6, 1932, Joyce’s life was marked by a profound commitment to her family and community. She was the devoted mother of two sons, Stephen Robert and Wayne Edward, and a proud grandmother to four grandchildren—Heather, Cassandra, Bryanna, and Benjamin—and two great-granddaughters, Lenya and Elaina. She was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her
heart. Her love and pride for each member of her family were constant and unwavering.
Joyce dedicated over 25 years to the Eastern Star, serving as a Grand Officer of the state from 1991 to 1992 and representing the organization as Grand Representative to Alberta, Canada, from 1989 to 1990. Through her work with the Eastern Star, Joyce
inspired those around her and created lasting friendships.
Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. Joyce was an active member of her church, where she sang in the choir, oversaw the newsletter, and served as clerk for the vestry. Her warm spirit and vibrant voice brought comfort and joy to her church community, and her presence will be greatly missed.
Joyce will be remembered for her kind heart, laughter, and steadfast support of those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of caring, dedication, and the joyful memories shared by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.
A service celebrating Joyce’s life will be held on November 2, 2024 at 10am at Trinity Church, 3 Goddard St, Rockland, MA. Internment at Washington St Cemetery in Norwell at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of her grandson, Benjamin Daniel Joseph.
The family would like to thank AccentCare Hospice Center in Milton and Pope Nursing Home in Weymouth for the care Joyce received in her final days.
Joyce’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
