Obituary For Joshua D. Deacon

Joshua Dale Deacon , 25 of Rockland, MA died suddenly in a tragic car accident on March 16, 2014. He was raised & educated in Rockland & graduated from Rockland High School Class of 2006. Josh had recently found his passion in working in a career as a HVAC Technician at Dempsey Oil in Mansfield after graduating from Bay State School of Technology in Canton, MA in 2012. An adventurous spirit his favorite hobbies were to ride his Harley at every opportunity he had, being the heartbeat AKA the drummer of his band, Ronald Vegan, playing shows all over the South Shore with his band mates & friends. In early childhood around the time he was learning to walk he was given his first pair of hockey skates, and he played the game for many years with his Dad coaching by his side and his mom & sisters in the stands cheering him on. From the day he came into this world he was his families shining light and as he grew up his light spread to everyone he came in contact with. Through this tragedy the world lost a true man of honor, dignity and love but have gained a new angel. Enjoy your ride in the sky bud, RIP, Bye for now! Joshua is survived by his mother Jean E. Deacon of Rockland, MA, his father Dale A. Deacon of Wrentham, MA, his sisters Shannan L. Kilsey of Lincoln, RI and Leah J Deacon of Braintree, MA. Brother in law Jarrod Kilsey of Lincoln, RI. He was uncle to Nicolas J. Kilsey and Zacary A. Kilsey, Josh was proud to be Zacary's Godfather. Also surviving is his grandmother Marion A. Cross of Quincy, MA. Joshua has joined to meet with his late Grandfather C. Walter Deacon in heaven. Joshua's lifelong friend and brother by choice Stephen Crowley of Rockland loved him dearly. Joshua also was loved by his girl friend Ashley Maguire of Weymouth, MA. Joshua is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Joshua' s family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life at Magoun Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union Street Rockland, MA on Thursday evening March 20, 2014 from 5-8pm.

To Josh's family, I used to work with josh at the Home Depot. I was there when he first started, I worked with him a lot. We had conversations all the time about tattoos motorcycles and he would always go on about his family. He truly loved you all so much. He was an amazing kid and I was lucky enough to have known him. Over the years ( I no longer work there) he reached out to me to say hi..... I am so sad over this and hope you know he touched everyone around him and made life happier! Dear Deacon family, I was saddened to hear of the loss of your loving son, Josh. My daughter, Teresa is married to Mike Verity, one of Josh's Band members. Teresa and Mike have such wonderful memories of your son who obviously lived life to the fullest. I lost a brother, Michael at the age of 18, 39 years ago in a tragic car accident. I vividly remember the pain our family went threw. Keep your son's memory alive and he will live on in his family and friends. I will pray that you have the strength to endure this terrible loss. Warmly, Mary Ann and Paul Franco and Family, Worcester, MA

Our family's shared much and now we suffer the loss with you. Josh will never be forgotten. His short life will go on to be celebrated in our hearts with memories that infuse joy.

I will always remember Josh as a little kid stopping by to visit Dale at the automotive shop we worked at together. He would run around and get his little shoes in the oil on the floor and then hide behind his dad when I came over to say hi. There are no words to be said other than hold on to these type of memories in your heart forever. To the entire family I give you my deepest sympathies and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
