Obituary For Josephine L. Mahoney

Josephine Louise (Bizzozero) Mahoney of Rockland, died on July 17, 2019 at Season's Hospice in Milton. She was born on February 19, 1932 in Quincy to the late Jerimiah and Laura (Cellucci) Bizzozero. Josephine was raised and educated in Quincy and was a graduate of Quincy High School. She is predeceased by her loving husband Cornelius Mahoney.

Mrs. Mahoney worked for many years as a secretary for the Sullivan Tire Corporation. She enjoyed spending her time going to dinner and her visits to the track with friends. Josephine loved her dog but most of all spending time with her loving family.

Josephine was the loving mother of Linda Roderick or Rockland, Mark Mahoney and his wife Maureen of Whitman, Kathleen Payne of Hull and the late Thomas Mahoney. She was the sister of Louise Zoia of FL. Josephine will be dearly missed by her seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate her life on Sunday July 21, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday July 22, 2019 at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Church. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's cemetery in Rockland. Donations in Josephine's name can be made to Season's Hospice of Milton.

    "Auntie Jo"....so warm and welcoming when I came into the family. Honest and genuinely caring for Steve and I and our family. We never made that dinner in the North End. It will always be a life's regret. Rest in Power dear Jo.

    We are so sorry to hear of your mothers passing... we were on vacation last week and just found out today...we know she was loved by her family and she will be missed by all of you
