Mr & Mrs Fiore, Tony and the rest of the family, My deepest sympathies are with you all during this difficult time. I very sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you. Joe was always a great guy and no doubt will having them rolling in the aisles up there with his sense of humor. I remember that any funny jokes or stories he told were always followed up with his own laugh that roared through the room. It was unmistakable and you always knew he was in the room before you saw him. Take care Joey, you will be missed.

Carol, Joe & Tony, There are no words to truly describe what your family means to all of us Shanahans. You guys have been part of our family since as far back as I can remember. Thinking back these past several days, I find myself smiling lots, because that's what Joey did for all of us - he made us smile. I can still hear his laugh in my head as I sit here now. From the early days playing hockey -- watching him succeed as a goalie, while that experiment last one game for me -- to the summers struggling to hang sheetrock for Mark (again a place he did better than I) -- to the recent years when we would see each other and laugh about the joys and struggles of being a parent, Joey was always a bright spot. Since I've been gone for so many years now, we didn't see each other much, but it would only take seconds for us to start smiling and laughing when we saw each other. The world definitely lost a bright spot when we lost Joey. I'll never forget all the times we shared over the years. I love all of you guys, and while I may be thousands of miles away, my heart and soul ache with the loss of my earliest friend. Peace & Love, Phil

Joey as I think back of all the memories they begin and end with your notable laughter. I am sure all that are fortunate enough to share memories will say the same. To the Fiore family, you raised one of the most kind hearted people I will ever have the pleasure of knowing. May God help you find strength in knowing he is now in his care.

Mr. & Mrs. Fiore, Tony and family, Cinnamon and family and Brian and family, I am completely shocked to hear about Joey's passing. I just can't believe it. The last time I saw Joey, he was sheetrocking my living room. I have a great picture of him in his element, just being Joey. My family and I send our very deeepest sympathies to each and every one of you. There are countless stories to be told about Joey and his untouchable personality. His presence could be felt the minute he walked into a room, and with a snap of his fingers he could have the whole room in stitches with a simple look. Joey is, and will always be, a treasure in so many peoples lives. The Fiore Family has always been amazing in every way possible. You all have a little piece of each others personalities, which make you all fantastic people. I will cherrish every memory I have with Joey. He has touched so many peoples hearts with his laughter, smile, and kindness. I cannot even begin to tell you how sad I am for your loss. You are all in my prayers and thoughts. Love to you all, Kellie Spaulding (Jameson)

My goodness, I just heard. I am so sorry for your loss. I have nothing original to offer, only the ability to back up all the wonderful things everyone else has already said. From elementary school (Jefferson... Mrs. Fiore, you were our teacher's aide on the playground and in the cafeteria) all through the years, Joey's flaming red hair matched his vibrant personality. He always had a smile and made those around him have the same. Best wishes for warm happy memories of great times gone by. Thinking of you all this holiday season.

I live in Alabama now but as soon as I heard about Joey's passing I broke out my photo albums and found so many pictures with Joey. A picture he was in with me when I was going to junior prom, a picture of him at one of my birthday parties and a picture of him dressed up for halloween as a clown. When I knew him it was in the late 80's early 90's and he was so fun and easy going. He was a great guy and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the Fiore's and Joey's fiance and children.

Truly a sad day. Growing up in the hockey rink with Joe (and Tony) brings back very fond memories. As do the high school years (and beyond) both on and off the ice. Joe could always be counted on to bring a laugh to any situation. While its been a number of years since Joe and I have crossed paths, it shook me to the core when I heard the terrible news. I'll always remember Joe's outrageous laugh, smirk, mischiefness and his genuine good nature. The Fiore family is in my prayers.

  • 05/25/2021

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. My thoughts are with you during this very difficult time.

  • 05/25/2021

Joey will be very sadly missed in our lives.

  • 05/25/2021

Our hearts truly hurt...We are so sad to hear this news of Joey. When we think of Joey, we will always remember that infamous grin of his that could bring a smile on even the worst days. Even bigger than his grin was his heart. Not a time went by when he didn't ask how everyone in my family was doing...and then truly listen to your answer. Carol, when I think of you I think of a mom who truly loves "her boys"...and now you pass that unconditional love on to their children. We feel blessed to have known Joey for as long as we have. Some people say not to look back in life but I believe you should because your past holds the best memories. Hold on to those memories. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for Joey. All our love and prays to you all.

  • 05/25/2021
