Oh My God, just saw about Joe's passing. I met Joe as a young Engineer in the 70's when he worked for John Boyle. As a young female Engineer thrown into a mix of well drillers, he was always so nice to me and taught me a lot. Always a gentleman. And every lunch time he would sing a tune: " I like to go swimming with bow legged women and swing between their legs". Hilarious for a 20 something girl to hear. Joe was the best of the best. I hope he still has that twinkle in his eye up in Heaven. Donna Boone

Joe, your smile was worth a thousand words. Not only did your smile light up your face but the faces of all those around you. You had a heart of gold, greatest sense of humor and one of the finest storytellers to come out of Fox Habber (Harbour) as you would say with your Boston accent. Our Fulford family loved you dearly and we miss you, Dear Friend. Rest in Peace with Anne.💕🙏

Joe told me many stories of his growing up in Fox Harbour and the events that led to his leaving as well as his adjustment to his new home in Boston and his eventual return to his native abode. A fine human being has passed. If having things right with the world is what's required to rest in peace please know that from my perspective Joe McCue will surely rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to Joe's family. He was a great friend of my late husband, Cyril. They had some good times together as did everyone who was in Joe's company. He loved Fox Hr. and always referred to it as "home". May he rest in peace.

Joe and my dad Adrian Smith were the best of friends. Dad thought a lot of Joe and would enjoy his phone calls when he was away in the States and look forward to his visits when he would come home to Fox Harbour. I know the two of them are having a yarn up above. He was always such a friendly, kind person. My sincere condolences to the family.

Joe McCue was a legend in Fox Harbour, Newfoundland. The Hard ole Sailor from the Newfoundland Shore was a dear friend to so many especially my father. When Dad heard Joe McCue was home, he would take off to Fox Harbour to see him right away. They entertained each other and many a laugh was had. God bless you Joe! I hope you and Dad are together again. RIP Joe.🙏
