Obituary For John Valatka

John A. Valatka passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015.

He was the son of Dr. Joseph and Mary Valatka. John's legacy to those of us who were honored to know him, was how to respond to the adversity's that life can overwhelm us with. Despite all that he suffered, he was consistently gracious and grateful to all who cared for him. The one exception was his wheel chair, when it insisted on banging into walls.

We would like to thank all of the staff at Colony for the decades of kind attention that they gave him. We ask in his memory, that you obtain a piece of music that will bring you joy and happiness. In much the same way that music brought him joy and happiness. Johnny, we will all be with you very soon. Until then, may we follow the ever forgiving example that you have set for us. The family invites friends and loved ones, to a Memorial Service in John's honor on Wednesday October 14 at 12:00 PM, in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland MA 02370. Following the Memorial Service a celebration of John's life will be held at 3:00 PM in The Colony Center for Health and Rehabilitation, 277 Washington St. Abington MA 02351.
