Obituary For John T. Gynan
With sadden hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of John T. Gynan IV "Johnny", at his home in Rockland on March 24th, at the age of 67.
John was born in Pittsburgh PA, and was a longtime resident of Rockland.
He is preceded by his parents, John T Gynan III, and Thelma C Gynan "Sprague", a longtime resident of Rockland. He is survived by his brother Glen Gynan and Bridie of NY, sister Lori Cavanagh and brother in law James Cavanagh of Plympton, aunt and uncle, nephews, nieces, many cousins and many friends, and a very special person and long time friend Emily Brooke Zanelli of Pembroke, who he thought the world of.
John was in the flooring business by trade for many years, and a member of the Knights of Columbus which he achieved member of the year. He bartended there for many years, along with his 18 yrs of sobriety and enjoyed serving his friends from the other side of the bar.
John also loved to cook and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed the lottery and all the sporting teams associated with Mass. He was active in attending and supporting AA in the surrounding communities.
John was a good brother and friend and will be missed dearly by all, and may he RIP in the house of the lord till we meet again.
A celebration of life will be planned and announced in the near future
